He acted as president and chairman of the board and oversaw the rapid growth of the company as it advanced to become one of the larges construction companies in the world. Abstract The Quattlebaums were German Protestant pioneers who helped settle the "Dutch Fork" area of South Carolina (present Lexington and Newberry Counties) in the 1760's.
